Prayer at Holy Spirit Parish

In addition to celebrating the Eucharist, there are many opportunities at Holy Spirit Parish to pray.

Private Prayer – The church at Holy Spirit is open for private prayer during the day as long as there is not a funeral or other planned event. The church is open during the hours when the office is open. Please enter through the south doors.

Holy Hours – At various times during the year, Holy Hours with Exposition, Adoration and Benediction are offered. It is an opportunity to spend time with Jesus. Dynamic Catholic offers an online guide to praying a Holy Hour.

The Rosary – The Rosary is a scripture-based prayer that focuses on specific events in Jesus’ life. There are four sets of Mysteries: Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and––added by Saint John Paul II in 2002––the Luminous. The Rosary can be prayed alone or with a group of people praying together. The US Bishops offer an online guide to praying the Rosary.
