First Holy Communion for Children
Typically, students prepare for and receive both sacraments of Reconciliation and first Holy Communion in the same school year. Students must be at least 7 years old (in 2nd grade) as well as in their second consecutive year of Faith Formation classes.
First Reconciliation for Children
Typically, students prepare for and receive both sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the same school year. Recolciliation must precede first Holy Communion. Students must be at least in the 2nd grade as well as in their second consecutive year of Faith Formation classes.
Confirmation for Youth
Our Confirmation program for youth is a two-year process that can start in the 7th or 8th grade. Holy Spirit Parish will start a new cohort of youth for the sacrament of Confirmation evey other year. The current Confirmation group began their preparation in fall of 2025 and resumes classes fall of 2026.
The next class for 7th – 9th graders will start fall of 2027.
