Funeral Luncheon & Soup Supper Ministry
Funeral Luncheon Ministry – Care for the Grieving

The Funeral Luncheon Ministry at Holy Spirit continues the tradition of caring for families grieving the loss of a loved one. By providing a meal after the funeral service, ministers offer a supportive space for community, remembrance, and healing.
This ministry directly reflects the Spiritual Works of Mercy by:
- Comforting the afflicted through a welcoming environment and shared meal.
- Praying for the living and the dead as a communal faith body.
Parishioners can support this vital ministry in several ways:
- Food Preparation: Donate side dishes, salads, or desserts for the luncheon.
- Event Setup: Arrange tables, chairs, and linens before the family arrives.
- Hospitality Service: Serve food, replenish beverages, and comfort guests during the meal.
- Clean-Up Crew: Clear tables, wash dishes, and restore the hall after the event
