Grief Support

The Spiritual Work of Mercy, “pray for the living and the dead before and after death,” is the key element of our Grief Support. It provides comfort and support to those grieving their loss and continues to pray for those who have passed away.

Grief Recovery Series offers a group experience that guides participants through a multi-week program series. Designed for those ready to engage more intentionally with their grief, these series create consistency, trust, and meaningful progress over time. Led by a trained facilitator, each session blends prayer, discussion, spiritual and peer support to help individuals and families process loss together. The Grief Support Series is held twice per year.

Grief Support Groups provide compassionate, structured environments to help you navigate loss, connect with peers, and build coping strategies. This group meets on the third Monday of each month and is led by trained facilitators.

Individual grief counseling offers a private, tailored space to process sudden or traumatic loss at your own pace before—or instead of—joining a group. A trained professional helps you navigate complex emotions, trauma symptoms, and functional challenges without the pressure of sharing in front of others. Ideal if you feel unready or uncomfortable sharing your story with peers.

The first weekend of November we honor our brothers and sisters who have gone home to the Lord in the past year with a Candlelit Remembrance Mass.  This is a beautiful and deeply meaningful tradition which honors our deceased parishioners with a candle specifically for them during the month dedicated to All Souls. Remembering the faithful departed in this way provides profound comfort to those grieving the loss of their loved one. Families of the deceased are invited to participate in a special candlelight procession at the beginning of Mass. These candles will remain in the sanctuary throughout November as a visible reminder of our continued prayers for the faithful departed.
